We welcome and encourage boys to dance as much as girls because dancing is an exercise that engages the entire body as well as the mind. Learning and remembering dance steps or choreographies keeps our little ones’ brain active while constant movement addresses their heart, circulation, balance, muscles and joints. Therefore, dancing is a skill that applies to any path that your children will take on later in their lives. Dance allows kids to focus on something very positive that has life long benefits.

Kids Bilingual Camps (Dance & Learning)

At the Salsa With Silvia Dance studio, we believe that camps should be filled with laughter, fun games and adventures; but we also love to always challenge our campers by providing a continuation of their school curriculum, plus a good amount of reading, writing, science and more. Our camps are bilingual. They are structured daily, and filled with challenging but super fun activities for the kids. We have lots of dancing and physical activities (outdoor time if weather allows).

Age requirement: 4 to 10 years old – must be fully potty trained.

Dance Semesters

Our dance classes for kids, have a variety of dances like Creative Movement, Latin Dance, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Creative movement and so much more. We also have available discounts for you. Click here to see more.

Baby Classes

Babies who have early motion experiences in their first year have better coordination, concentration, memory, behavior and perception as they get older. When engaging in baby dance classes, the child acquires a number of skills and abilities that will be used for the rest of their lives. At the Salsa With Silvia dance studio, we offer baby classes like Stories in Motion and Baby Ballet.

Dear Juan,
I wanted to reach out and say many thanks for all your and incredible SWS staff support and facilitation of my daughter’s party yesterday.It went very smoothly and felt very special.We had kids of different ages, but everybody liked Bunmi’s art activities (even the adults).
Nilton’s dance activity was everybody’s favorite part of the party. The kids were all over the place, but he was so patient, and his vibe was great. One of the kids at the party has moderate to severe autism and rarely participates in group activities. This boy loved the dance and Nilton was so patient with him while keeping up with all the other kids and the birthday girl. All in all it was great, thank you all so much again.

In addition to summer camps, we also offer one day and one week camps (Winter and Spring) on days and weeks when DCPS schools are closed.

Our baby dance classes are super fun and engaging. They are designed to help young children with motor skill development and prepare them for future dance and music classes.
